Annabel is a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom waterfront home located on the South shore of West Bay. An island gem, Annabel offers wrap around decks with hammocks and a porch swing overlooking the Caribbean Sea. Let the beauty of the sea embrace you, let it give you the appreciation of peace and tranquility spending time on it's shores can bring.
Annabel is truly an island escape. Located close to West Bay Beach it enables you to enjoy the vibrancy of activities on offer... if you ever want to leave! Annabel is the choice for family or friends looking for an affordable, comfortable and luxurious home away from home.
The home has a large deck that wraps around the entire house, keeping the home shaded and cool on the hottest of Summer days, you will never be searching for that cool breezy perch. If you are an early riser, enjoy the sunrise from our porch swing, such a beautiful way to start the day. The main air-conditioned living space inside has plenty of sofa space for all the family, a dining table for 6 and a desk with reliable Wifi. We have a bar area and fully stocked kitchen. If you prefer to cook outside on the deck we have a gas grill for you to enjoy the outdoor living of the tropics.
Two bedrooms on the main living floor are accessed from the living room. The queen bedroom has a brand new (January 2022) Sealy Posturepedic mattress, a private en-suite bathroom and doors open to the sea breeze. The king bedroom has en-suite access to the guest bathroom shared with the twin bedroom in the loft. All bedrooms are air-conditioned.
Below the house is the laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer. It can be accessed from either the front or back steps from the main deck.

The property was wonderful and we spent most of our time on the wrap around deck enjoying the view.
The kitchen has everything you need, except any kind of food or spices, including salt and pepper.
Our advise: if you plan on eating at the home make sure you stop at the main grocery store, just outside the airport.
Once you are at the house, going back to the store is about a 30 minute drive. You can find a few things at a little store down the beach. REPLY: Thank you for your kind review and suggestions.

The Island House staff was very easy to communicate with and responded very quickly to our What's App messages.

We were a party of 3 adults and the home offered a wonderful space to gather together or spend some quality alone time sipping coffee on the large porch or at the community pool. It's a very comfortable island home, great beds, plenty of linens, comfortable couch and functional kitchen. Beautiful ocean views and the master bedroom allows you to hear the waves crashing and lulling you to sleep. Nice to have a washer and dryer downstairs so you can pack less! This was our second stay at Annabel. It is very well maintained and the kitchen has quality cook wear and dishes, the towels are thick and luxurious, the beds are very comfortable. It has the feel of a traditional home but with all the modern amenities.
The wrap around deck was a big bonus as was having laundry on site.
The attention to detail in quality and decor is unusual for a vacation home.

Restaurant at nearby beach (Meridien hotel) was not very good and we may have gotten sick from the food.

Friendly staff, beautiful house. Great experience! It may be a good idea to suggest to renters to rent a car or put them in touch with a car service since the location is a bit isolated. Other than that, we had a very positive experience. REPLY: Thank you for your review. Our guests are advised as to the location and the availability of a rental car. We have recently struck a deal with a local taxi service that will be available to our guests at any time. We appreciate the suggestion!

We were travelling with a young child who locked the bathroom and shut the door as he left. We called Island House and they arrived within 15 minutes and opened the door within 5 minutes. They were EXTREMELY friendly and kind! Also upon check-in, we were provided with several excellent ideas for dinner and beach spots on the island that we wouldn't have found on our own!

Annabel House itself is a beautiful home with everything you need to relax. We were travelling with 3 adults, 2 toddlers and a teenager. We each were able to find our own space in the house for privacy and relaxation. The hammocks on the wraparound porch are IDEAL for naps! I tried to read in the hammocks each day but the breeze cooled me and rocked me to sleep each time. The view from the deck and the sounds of the ocean are unmatched!

I loved everything about it. My room was pretty with great views of the ocean and tropical foliage. The air conditioning worked great. The kitchen was very usable and I fixed a lot of meals. I shopped at Eldon's. Be sure to find out where it is. Also, one night I went down to Beacher's Club on the West Bay beach and listened to Bryan James. Just Wonderful! Everyone was so friendly. Roatan is great, and "Annabel" is the best rental. (I travel a lot, so I should know.)
