Affordable beach living.
This home is located on the beach between West Bay Beach and West End. This area is really quiet with few people, so if you are looking to avoid crowds this is a great spot. The house is about 50 yards from the sea with beach all around. West Bay and West End are both about a 20-minute walk in either direction down the beach. For those without transportation, water and land taxis are available when you want to venture away from the house.
The downstairs area has an open floor plan consisting of the kitchen, dining area and living area. The area is spacious and bright with a lot of natural light from the many windows, each with screens in case you want to take advantage of the fresh air. The kitchen has plenty of counter space and is well stocked for those looking to make a few meals. The stove and oven run on propane. The dining table accommodates up to 6 guests with extra seating. The living area has a 40” flat screen TV with local cable and a DVD player. There is also wireless 3G internet. One air conditioning unit cools the lower level, and a half bath rounds out the downstairs space.
Upstairs are 2 large bedrooms and 1 bath. The first bedroom has a queen bed, the second bedroom has 2 queen beds, allowing up to 6 persons to sleep comfortably. Each bedroom has a lot of space and each has its own air conditioning unit. Each of the upstairs windows has a screen and each bedroom has a ceiling fan should you want to sleep without air conditioning. The shared bath upstairs is also a comfortable size and boasts a bathtub in addition to the shower.
Adjacent to Bonito Beach House is Bonito Beach Apartment. Guests can choose to rent the apartment also to accommodate up to 8 persons in this location. Please inquire for further details.
This home is not managed by Island House, guests are taken care of by the owner, Tammy. Tammy lives on site and checks guests in personally. Guests will be in touch with Island House up until their arrival. We are happy to answer guest questions and we encourage guests to use our free concierge services prior to and during their stay.

Friendly and effective house manager.

The property and its surrounding over exceeded my expectation. We had a great stay at the Bonito house beach, spacious, and clean house and well managed by friendly Tammy. Located between West End and West bay, its a nice walk to either place. It was rather difficult to found the place, but without a physical address, our taxi driver managed to found this little gem by the water. I definetly recommand it. 200 feet from the water, two doors down from the Clearwater Dive Shop and halfway between West Bay and West End. This little gem is where you want to be for a quiet getaway, good diving and easy access to the nightlife and restaurants in both nearby communities!! We rented a little motorcycle to get around but also walked both ways up and down the beach to both communities. It was less than a 15 minute walk to West Bay and about 20 minutes to West End and there lots of stopping points along the way. We plan on staying here again!! We loved our stay the property was nice and it was clean. Tammy the home owner was very wonderful and helpful. We enjoyed meeting the other guest staying in units near by.There were chairs for us to lay on at the beach and beach towels at the house, that was nice.The only thing that would have been better would have been if there had been a table and chairs outside to eat at or play games on also. We would definitely stay again.

Island House staff were prompt and through. Even catching my airline reservation did not match up with the days reserved.

The owner was top notch. On a 1-5 scale, Tammy is 5+. With reference to beach access, the location of the property is a 4. With reference to surrounding properties, a 3. Access, by car, 1. The TV reception was very poor, but I had an HDMI cable and computer. There was no DVD. The property was very clean, except the doors, where people pulled them shut. Those areas were quite discolored from being pulled shut, and needed painting.

Additional persons, up to 6 total, may be accommodated for $15/person/night.
Discounts available for groups of 2 persons and extended stays.
